Meet Doctor Jodie Backurz!
Dr. Jodie Backurz is a family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence and commitment to patient-centered care. She completed her Family Medicine residency at North Colorado Family Medicine, gaining extensive experience in inpatient adult and pediatric medicine, high-risk obstetrics, newborn care, and continuity clinic services.
Dr. Backurz has a strong background in caring for underinsured, uninsured, immigrant, and refugee populations through her work at North Colorado Family Medicine. Her professional interests include women’s health, prenatal care, HIV and Hepatitis C care, and healthcare advocacy in resource-limited settings. She is certified in BLS, ACLS, ALSO, and NRP, and is committed to community engagement and improving access to high-quality healthcare.
